Children's Ministry (1st-5th Grade)

Pastor Josh Reyenga

We want children and their families to know God and how much He loves them. We do this by partnering with families to raise their children for Christ! Take a few minutes to check out what we do. Then join us each week for fun, creative children’s services that teach the life-changing message of Jesus Christ!

Grow

During every Sunday  service, the children experience an
exciting, safe environment that captures their heart and attention.

GROW Worship

We begin and end with corporate worship including music from our live worship band. In between, we share engaging, Jesus-centered Bible teaching. After the large group time, we move into our small groups.

GROW Groups

Small groups connect children in community with other kids their age. Our GROW group leaders use fun, age-appropriate activities and games to reinforce the monthly theme and bottom line for each week.

Wednesday Night Worship

The GROW Show is a Bible-themed variety show for kids! It’s a high energy, fun-filled “live” show that incorporates skits, stage games, interactive videos, contests, and more, all while intentionally teaching kids about the Gospel of Jesus Christ through bible teaching and worship. The GROW Show is followed by a brief small group debriefing session. You have to experience it to understand it!

**The GROW Show only meets during the Rutherford County school year.**

Kindergarten Ministry

This a transitional ministry designed to help our kindergartners bridge the gap between Preschool and Children’s Ministry. The curriculum provides developmentally appropriate learning experiences to help them KNOW who God is and provides an age appropriate learning environment. The summer after their Kindergarten year, the children will participate in large group worship with the Children’s Ministry.

WHAT TO EXPECT

Here are answers to a few questions to help get your preschooler settled in to make their first visit... and yours...as easy and enjoyable as possible! We look forward to meeting you!

CHECK-IN PROCEDURE

First time guests will be greeted and checked in at the Welcome Tesk, HUB or any kiosk. On return visits, you can check your child in at any kiosk. Be sure to check them in for every hour they will stay. You will receive a printed tag that includes their name, room number, a unique security number. You will also receive a matching security tag to take with you. You will need the security tag to pick up your child, and the security number will be used to notify you during the worship service if you are needed.

STAY INFORMED

In addition to flyers we occasionally hand out, these are updated regularly to keep you up to date on Children’s Ministry activities.

1. The New Vision website.
2. Facebook
3. Twitter

PICK-UP PROCEDURE

You will pick up your child directly from their room. The safety and welfare of our children is vital to us; you will be required to show the number on your security tag when you pick them up. If your security tag gets lost, your child’s teacher will escort you and your child to the preschool desk for verification by a Preschool Staff member. We hope you understand this extra step is to keep your child safe!
